Cyber Security Competition

The NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) is running a national competition for Year 8 girls (CyberFirst Girls Competition).

Duke of Edinburgh Drop in Wednesdays

Duke of Edinburgh drop in sessions are open every Wednesday after school until 5pm, for those students who would like to work on their award, Mr Sharp is available to help in A20.

Science Support on Tuesdays in B13

Degree Apprecticeship with

BT have a number of apprenticeships available including software engineering, network engineering, research innovation and cyber security. Some of these are based in Ipswich but others are further afield. Starting salary at £21,000. See attached sheet for details.

Old Burians Award

One of our students was recently awarded £350 for a volunteering project in France to help develop their language skills. KOOTH - Online Support Service

There is a new online counselling and emotional wellbeing support service for young people aged 11-18 called Kooth. The aim is that young people in Suffolk will be able to access free, safe and anonymous online counselling, which they can access on the go through their mobile device, 365 days a year.
